ABOUT THE MISSIONS TEAM:

 

The Missions Staff Team oversees the work of SJSM’s three primary stations in parts of Indochina and Timor-Leste. We provide member care and pastoral oversight for our Missions Personnel comprising Cross-Cultural Workers, Missions Associates, and Missions Trainees (MAP-er).

 

We also create missions awareness and understanding among SJSM members of all ages, so as to motivate and mobilise their involvement in the Great Commission. Involvement in missions supports spiritual formation in many ways, and the equipping for missions we carry out is an important part of one’s discipleship journey.

 

Missionary Apprenticeship Programme (MAP):

• The MAP is a 1-2 year training programme for SJSM members to firm up God’s calling to longer term missionary service in an overseas cross-cultural context.
• Pre-requisites: Baptised and confirmed member of SJSM; active cell member and involved in ministry; 21 years and above.
