Both approaches are essential for developing a comprehensive understanding of Scripture. \n\nSeries 1: The Doctrine of God\nIn September we continue with the series on the Doctrine of God addressing questions like: \n\nWhat are miracles? Can they happen today?\nWhy does God want us to pray? How can we pray effectively?\nWhat are angels? Why did God create them?\nHow should Christians think about Satan and demons today? How should we understand and practice spiritual warfare?\n\nThe series will not only focus on developing our knowledge about God\, we will also explore how these beliefs are to shape how we live our lives. \n\nClass format\nThe class is designed to be interactive and there will be opportunity for Q & A.

DESCRIPTION:The Bible is not just a manual of valuable lessons for life. It is the very word of God that forms and transforms us. In her book\, How to Read the Bible\, Dr Mary Tay emphasizes that “(T)he ultimate purpose of reading the Bible is to know God.” God’s character and purposes for the world are revealed in the Bible through different genres such as stories\, poetry and prophecy. \nIn this course\, we will learn \n\nto read the Bible as God’s story of redemption\nthe different ways of reading the Bible\nto use tools of interpretation to read the Bible with understanding\nto draw out biblical truths to which we align our lives in obedience to God\n\nClick here to register.\n\nClass Format \nThe course will be interactive with hands-on practice both in class and through manageable weekly homework. So please bring your Bible and pens. To facilitate discussion and practice\, the class size will be limited to 20 participants. \nCopies of Dr Mary Tay’s book\, How to Read the Bible\, is available for purchase at $15. DESCRIPTION:Dates: 15 – 22 November\nJunior Church is collaborating with HealthTouch (a medical outreach arm) to the people in Timor Leste. Jr Church will be supporting the team by conducting children programme with fun activities\, songs and sharing of God’s Word. We invite families with children aged 7-10 to join us.\n\nCarefully read through these important logistics before submitting your registration:\n\n\nThe overseas mission trip to Timor-Leste is from 15th – 22nd Nov 2026.\nThe total cost per person is approximately $1\,800 (including airfare and accommodation).\nAll children going must be accompanied by at least an adult family member.\nYour registration has to be signed by the parents or guardian of children going\, including non-family children eg cousins.\nRegistering for this trip does not guarantee you a place as there is a limited number of people for the total group size. You will receive a confirmation email if you have a place and subsequently be invited to a meeting to complete a formal form and receive more information on the itinerary\, the total cost and assigned work for the trip.\nAll participants passport must have at least a 6 month validity from the date of travel; your travel insurance is your responsibility.\nThe closing registration date is 15th June 2026\n\n\nPlease email juniorchurch@sjsm.org.sg should you have any queries or like to have more information.  We would love to help.\n\nIf you are ready to register\, click here!
