GET INVOLVED IN MISSIONS

The Missions Staff Team oversees the work of SJSM’s four Mission Stations in parts of Indochina and Timor-Leste. We provide member care and pastoral oversight for our Missions Personnel comprising Cross-Cultural Workers, Non-Residential Missions Workers, Missions Associates, and Missionary Trainees (Missionary Apprentice and Missionary Intern).

We also create missions awareness and understanding among SJSM members of all ages, so as to motivate and mobilise their involvement in the Missio Dei through the Great Commission. Involvement in missions supports spiritual formation in many ways, and the equipping for missions we carry out is an important part of one’s discipleship journey.

Missionary Apprenticeship Programme (MAP):

  • The MAP is a 1-2 year training programme for SJSM members to firm up God’s calling to longer term missionary service in an overseas cross-cultural context.
  • Pre-requisites: Baptised and confirmed member of SJSM; active cell member and involved in ministry and missions; 21 years and above.
  • To enquire or to sign up, do write in to us at missions@sjsm.org.sg
