HEARTFRIENDS Student Care Centre (HSCC), established in 1999 by St John’s-St Margaret’s Church, is a non-profit afterschool care centre providing supervised afterschool care within a nurturing environment for Primary 1 to Secondary 2 students whose parents are at work or otherwise unable to care for them at home.
During the school term we offer nutritious meals, rest time, supervised homework, and indoor and outdoor play focusing on building social and emotional resiliency with character qualities based on biblical values.
WHAT WE OFFER
- After School Care during the school term includes meals, rest time, homework supervision, enrichment class, indoor and outdoor play, experiential social and emotional resiliency and character building curriculum.
- Drop-In Centre provides fun indoor and outdoor activities for Primary 4 to Sec. 2 students every Friday, 3:30-6:00 pm at
St. John’s – St. Margaret’s Church Agape Hall. - Good Feet Football Team helps your child get better with football skills including small sided matches and short drills. Conducted from 5-6 pm every Monday and Tuesday at the basketball court next to the centre.
- School Holiday Programmes include an exciting range of activities like outings, camps, sports sessions, and workshops, designed as a fun-filled holiday, balancing focus on physical and intellectual and SEL development as well.

DAILY SCHEDULE
The typical day at HSCC
1.30 – 2.30pm : Change out of uniform and have lunch
2.30 – 3.30pm : Nap (for P1 children)/Quiet and/or Homework Time
3.30 – 3.45pm : Tea Break
3.45 – 5.30pm : Homework Time/Enrichment Classes
5.30 – 6.30pm : Indoor/Outdoor Play
6.30 – 7pm : Silent Reading

OUR HISTORY
Originally HSCC was set up in partnership with Tanjong Pagar Community Development Council and Pasir Panjang Citizen’s Consultative Committee to serve the Dover community, driven by a mission to love and care in practical ways for each other regardless of race, language, or religion.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How much are the fees?
$340 per month (ComCare Student Care Subsidies available with applicable conditions)
How do i register my child?
- We invite you to call the Centre to make an appointment to visit and register your child.
Documents and payment required at registration include:
- completed registration form,
- a passport photo of your child,
- photocopies of child’s birth certificate and both parents’ identity cards,
- $50 registration fee (non-refundable), and
- $340 deposit (refundable on giving one calendar month’s notice upon child’s withdrawal)
Do you have a holiday surcharge?
Holiday surcharge is $100 for June and $110 for December. For certain outings or activities, we request a contribution to cover the cost.
Please note that monthly fees including registration fee, deposit and holiday surcharges may be adjusted from time to time to ensure the best possible services.
Do you provide fetching service?
Fetching services are provided only for P1 and P2 students who attend Fairfield Methodist School
(Primary).
Can I visit the centre before registering?
Yes! We invite you to visit with us for a tour.
